REVOLT 2 Rock FashionMay 13, 2014 (Minneapolis, MN) — R+R Productions has recently announced its second annual charity REVOLT fashion event. Blending runway presentations with live musical performances and a silent auction, “REVOLT 2 Rock Fashion” is set to be the Twin Cities’ fashion experience of the summer. More than 500 fashion aficionados and music enthusiasts are expected to attend the benefit, Friday, June 13, 10pm at The Venue in Downtown Minneapolis.

The philanthropic fashion event, co-hosted by Robyne Robinson, award-winning TV journalist, designer and MSP International Airport Arts and Culture Director, along with Twin Cities’ personality Gregory Martin, will support organizations dedicated to empowering women. Benefit organizations include Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women, Aegis Foundation and SMART GIRL Empowerment Program.

The “REVOLT 2 Rock Fashion” runway will feature Summer and Fall/Winter 2014 collections from Twin Cities’ designers and boutiques, including Primp Boutique, Minq, Amyanne Fashions and ALL ALTERED, along with accessories from rox minneapolis jewelry. Styling will be provided by award‐winning KS Styling Team, led by renowned image-maker Kimberly Steward.

In addition, soul singer Margeaux Davis will perform during the silent auction; while hip-hop/rock artist Isioma will take the stage during the runway presentations. DJ Adora Tokyo will serve as the evening’s official DJ.

REVOLT 2 Rock Fashion“REVOLT 2 Rock Fashion” is co-produced by R+R Productions founder Reggie Aspelund and model/event planner Jill Thompson. “REVOLT’s mission is to bring people from various backgrounds together to raise awareness and support for local businesses and charities that improve our community,” said Aspelund. “With the generosity of our partners, we also look forward to raising the bar for fashion show productions in the Twin Cities.”

“REVOLT 2 Rock Fashion” takes places Friday, June 13, at The Venue, located at 315 1st Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN. The silent auction begins at 10pm; the fashion show at 11pm. General admission tickets are $15; VIP tickets, $30; REVOLT VIP Table Experience, $200. All VIP and General Admission ticket purchases are tax deductible. Twenty‐five percent of ticket sales and 100% of silent auction revenue will be donated to the Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women. The remaining net ticket sales will be donated to the Aegis Foundation and its SMART GIRL Empowerment Program. Please note, this event is 21+.
