DW would like to extend a warm congratulations to Faatemah who was named a founding member of Intercoiffure America/Canada‘s (ICA) Artistic Team last month.

This is a tremendous honor as Intercoiffure is considered the most powerful and influential organization in the hair dressing industry. Simply put, ICA determines the standards the rest of the industry follows!

Led by Artistic Director  and industry icon Mary Brunetti, the Artistic Team’s mission “is to bring fashion into the hair realm in a way that participating ICA members can take inspiration and information back to their salons immediately, and put these new ideas directly into action.” Brunetti is also the Director of Education at the world renowned Sally Hershberger salons in New York City.

Each year, the team will present at the two ICA annual events and produce two photo shoots of collections. They may also be called upon to work with the color council and fashion director.  Faatemah teamed with fellow ICA members David Kinigson and Sherri Jesseee for their first presentation during the ICA Fall Atelier in New York, featuring Great Gatsby/20’s inspired hair styles.  Their first photo shoot is slated for February 2013.

Faatemah will be returning to New York in early December to shoot her new beauty collection. She is also prepping for a runway show at the 2012 ISSE Long Beach January 26-28, 2013.
