Congratulations goes out to Georgia Ellyse! The rise media star was voted “Model of the Year” at the 2nd annual Twin Cities Urban Music Awards.
Hosted this past Friday (March 15), the annual event provides recognition to artists and entertainment gurus for their impact on the Twin Cities music scene.
Ellyse was elated to receive the award and owed the win to her fans who’ve supported her journey.
“I am grateful for the people who see where I’m going and how hard I’m working to get there,” said Ellyse. “It’s an amazing feeling to have so much support in pursuing my dreams. I won this award because of YOU [my fans]! Because of YOUR votes, we brought it home… And, I just want to say thank you.”
The rising star most certainly deserves this recognition. Ellyse’s accomplishments over the past year include serving as a guest judge on BET’s 106 & Park, being featured on VIBE Vixen, and being the face of a national Woodchuck Case advertising campaign. She is also a regular model for nationally broadcast ShopNBC.
Ellyse will also be featured as the leading lady Colliding Pictures’ upcoming short film, Drinks. The film, slated for release in Spring 2013, tells the story of a young, troubled woman who turns to alcohol and men for comfort. Stay tuned for details.
