Award-winning style maven Faatemah is going Hollywood this weekend at Intercoiffure America/Canada’s 2013 Spring Symposium, May 19-20 at the Seminole Hard Rock in Florida.
Intercoiffure’s annual event brings together top hair stylists in the industry to focus on business development, design, color and advanced technical education.
This will mark the first hands-on class that the founding members of the Intercoiffure America/Canada (ICA) Artistic Council, headed by Artistic Director and industry icon Mary Brunetti, have offered. The trio — Faatemah, Sherri Jesse and David Kinigson — will demonstrate how to create trendy red carpet hair looks that the audience can achieve in their own salons.
The Council will also be officially presented in a special pinning ceremony held for new members.
“I remember all I ever wanted to do was attend an Intercoiffure show,” said Faatemah. “Now I’m a part of it! I can’t even begin to sum this experience up in words.”
Since being invited to join the council, Faatemah has already participated in two Mondial Collection shoots. The first, a tribute to American style, took place in New York earlier this year under the supervision of ICD Fashion Director, Vivienne MacKinder. The second shoot, an International collaboration on trends, occurred just weeks ago in Paris, France.
