Event Series Presents Unique Mash-Up Of Music And Technology
December 1, 2011 (NY) — Soul rock phenom (i am) isis has been tapped to perform at the Knitting Factory’s Music Tech Meetup, Monday, December 5.
In a unique mash-up of music and technology, the two-part event features presentations by music technology representatives, including Spin and iHeartRadio, and a live performance showcase. Joining (i am) isis in the lineup are Brian Mackey and Freak Owls.
(i am) isis’ performances have been characterized as an energetic explosion of power and grace. Indie Rock Cafe calls her a “DIY artist who indulges in attitude-laden, hardcore funk and soul, that is thrashed out more like garage rock.”
“I think this is a great opportunity to merge my two passions – music and technology,” said (i am) isis. “By day, I am a webmaster; by night, I’d like to think I master the stage.”
The Knitting Factory’s Music Tech Meetup takes place Monday, December 5 at 361 Metropolitan Avenue in Brooklyn. Advanced tickets can be purchased online at bk.knittingfactory.com/event/77767.
