Soul rock rebels (i am) isis have been tapped to perform in the 3rd Annual Zeitgeist Media Festival at the Avalon Hollywood, Sunday, August 4.
The day-long media and arts festival will bring together musicians and presenters from across the country, featuring live bands, visual and interactive art, comedy, film shorts, speakers and theatrical presentations.
In tandem with the event’s mission to use the power of art and media to help inspire positive change, (i am) isis joins the lineup after the release of their single “Get Free,” an anthemic message of change. Formed and fronted by spoken soul-phenom isis, the five-piece crew’s edgy brand of soulful truth and “fresh” take on rock and soul music continue to win over myriad industry executives and insiders.
“(i am) isis compels your soul to open up and receive [their] message of freedom, while hitting you with funky, pop-rock-R&B rhythms,” said Datwon Thomas, executive editor of VIBE Magazine. “[Their] mesh of style and sound overwhelms and embraces at the same time. isis is sure to save some sinners with her level of talent.”
Also scheduled to perform are progressive rock band Hierosonic, chart-topping South African songwriter Cofield Mundi, world renowned Sufi singer/songwriter Sussan Deyhim, Emmy-nominated TV writer Tim Kring, international best selling author and lecturer Marianne Williamson, violin virtuoso Lili Haydn and more.
The Zeitgeist Media Festival takes place Sunday, August 4, 3-10pm at the historic Avalon Hollywood, located at 1735 N. Vine St. in Hollywood, CA. Limited advanced tickets are available for purchase online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/404460.
