Soul Rocker Makes Her First Appearance At NY’s Oldest Rock Club
Spoken soul rocker (i am) isis will take the stage at the historic Bitter End, Friday, April 20 in New York City.
Kicking off the evening’s showcase, she will be performing songs off her upcoming album, amazingly random. Her band includes musicians Mike Koltosky (bass), Manny Mavrakis (drums), Dave Elmowitz (guitar) and Isaac Childs (keys).
(i am) isis has been described as haunting and mesmerizing, with her live shows being characterized as an energetic explosion of power and grace.
Though considered an independent artist, her commercial appeal is undeniable. She has won over myriad industry executives and insiders with her “fresh” take on rock and soul music, along with her unique image.
“(i am) isis has her own gravitational pull. Whether you are a rock aficionado, nod your head to hard core hip-hop or like to lay back and listen to some good soul music, you need to know who (i am) isis is,” says Jay Marcello of Dream Hygh Entertainment. “As a consultant and promoter, all sorts of music comes across my desk. (i am) isis, however, is one of the few who I actually remember and have in rotation in my iPod.”
The Brooklyn-based artist recently debuted a new single, “I Saw You.” She continues to defy genre definition with this sultry, bluesy tune. “I Saw You” is a nod to her spoken word roots, while keeping with her affinity for rock-infused guitars and thrashing delivery.
(i am) isis performs live at 7pm, Friday, April 20 at The Bitter End, located at 147 Bleecker Street, NYC. She will be sharing the stage with Chocolate Bread, Curbside Hustle and other featured performers. Advanced tickets can be purchased at iamisis.eventbrite.com.
