Festival To Celebrate the New York’s Diverse Music Culture
Award-winning Russian singer/songwriter Ellina Graypel and spoken soul rocker (i am) isis will headline Voices of New York, a festival celebrating New York’s diverse music culture, Sunday, October 14.
“‘Voices of New York’ aims to promote the diversity, multiculturalism and impact that every nation/culture has on the city,” said Graypel, the brainchild behind the festival. “From Spanish and Russian to English and Hebrew, our music festival will stand for the unity and freedom of artistic expression.”
The festival brings together a myriad of cultures for one exciting night of music and celebration. There will also be featured performances by Varya, Lana Sokolova and Nevermoon. In addition, special invited artists will make brief appearances, including Jesús Papoleto Meléndez (one of the original founders of the Nuyorican movement), Vadim Astrakhan, concert pianist Mikhail Pais and Hot God. DJ Poodle Cannon will serve as resident dj.
