December 3, 2012 (NY) — Spoken soul rocker (i am) isis will perform at WBAI 99.5FM’s fundraiser, Naked Sounds, Friday, January 4 at Webster Hall in New York City. This will be the band’s first show in the New Year.
The event is presented by WBAI and JLR Productions, with proceeds benefiting WBAI radio station, renowned as a “voice for the voiceless” and one of NYC’s greatest supporters of independent music.
(i am) isis is a Brooklyn-based in-your-face band formed and fronted by poet-turned-rocker soul phenom, isis. The eclectic rockers join an incredible lineup of genre-defying musicians, including pILLOW tHEORY, Jadex, Dynasty Electric, Beyond This Point, Oskere and the Lucky Bastards, and other special guests.
“Naked Sounds promises to be an evening of daring musical exploration from a slate of performers respecting no musical boundaries,” said John Littig.
Naked Sounds takes places Friday, January 4, 2013, 7pm at The Studio at Webster Hall, located at 125 East 11th Street. Tickets, $12, are available at the door or online.
